Hello. My sister in Tennessee called me today to tell me about my dad ( I live in Florida ) She said he doesnt look or sound good and that he seems to be hiding something from her and that he asked to talk to me, but I cant seem to get in touch with him due to time difference and his work. She said they found something in or on his lung, spots or something on his lungs. That he coughs badly and that when he coughs he blacks out. We have different dads so it worries me that he wont tell her any more than he feels she needs to know, yet specifically asked her to call me and to tell me to try to get in touch with him, From what she told me he is going into the hospital Tues. to have tests and surgery . What could be wrong? Im scared to death. Hes 69 years old so hes old. Im honestly not ready to prepare myself for the possibility of him leaving me. I dont know how to prepare for something like that.Anyone have any idea what could cause spots on the lung with black outs during coughing?

I havent got the money to fly up there although I am moving back soon but not soon enough to be there for him Tuesday. Im worried and cant think of anything that it could be. Im not sure how serious it is since I cant reach him. Hes had a history of coughing up blood too.
