There is one type you can catch it and another that is uncatchable. The pneumonia that can be caught is the bacterial kind I think, but don't go by our answers....consult your doctor.

Yes and no. You can contract the virus that causes it but you might only get the flu. Not everyone who contracts the flu will get it. Just keep monitored by your doctor.

There are 2 types, viral and bacterial the bacterial is treated with anti biotics but the viral has really no treatment available.

Thats why they call it community acquired pneumonia .... there are some that can be communicable ....
It would be best to ask your husbands attending physician if you are at risk .... since he has diagnosed him and hopefully has isolated the causative organism
