Does eating too much chili peppers and putting tabasco sauce on everything i eat EVERY SINGLE DAY cause harm?
the main reason people like spicy foods is because the body realeases endorphines. i don't think there's any real harm to the body per se. however it's kinda like over salting things, it's a little boring if everything you eat tastes the same don't you think?

If you don't have previous acid or sensitive stomach problems, it won't do any harm. Look at those from other countries who do it all the time. In fact, it's said to kill parasites and infections. Enjoy!

It can cause an acid build-up in the stomach, in some cases, though in theory it's quite healthy. I'd cut back on the tabasco sauce though.

Everyone has a different organism, maybe what is good to one person , is harmful to another, so, just watch carefully on yourself, if you don't feel any symptom, well I guess that condiments don't harm you.

No harm I`ve been doing it for 30 years, eating hot and spicy food unless you have a stomach ulcer from lifes problems it won`t hurt you

You are zapping your taste buds, so you have to keep increasing the amount of hot flavorings to get the same effect. But if you really eat too much, especially with the tabasco, you can eventually give yourself chemical burns on the esophagus and damage the "valve" that keeps food in your stomach. This will lead to "acid reflux" -- actually, gastric juice leaking back into your esophagus. Do you have trouble getting to sleep at night because your stomach gives you pains when you lie on one side or the other (usually the right side)? If so, you are indeed overdoing things and need to go on a bland diet long enough for healing to take place (several weeks). And then ease off on the peppers and tabasco so the problem won't come back. I notice one of the other answers recommends some spices what will give your taste buds a treat without burning them to cinders. Good idea.

It probably just causes a lot of "bowl" time

I WOULD SAY YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT YOUR OWN BODY. DOES IT HURT?
I AM PART OF A FAMILY OF MEAGA HOT CHILI EATERS AND WE ARE ALL WELL. ALTHOUGH AFTER MANY YEARS OF CHILE EATING I MYSELF HAVE TO WATCH IT.....TUMMY BURN.
BUT I DO LOVE THAT HOT STUFF!!!

My father asked a doctor the exact same question. He said that it doesn't hurt you at all.

well, the only harm i no that it will cause is to your taste buds. It is not good to add that much spice. With all this hot sauce and chili, your tastebuds get dull. I would try using different spices, oragano, FRESH basil (it has a stronger taste than dried) and try lots of fruits. I think that it will help!
