Would contacts be a better option over glasses?
Okay so I have an appointment to get my eyes checked and I haven't done it since 2003. Anyways, I've always worn glasses but I was thinking about switching over to contacts so I need some advice and helpful tips.

My main concern is that my eyes always gets watery on and off or when I yawn. I don't know why this is the case but I end up having to wipe my eyes to get all the tears out, so I am concerned whether or not contacts will be a good option because they might fall out when my eyes become watery and I have to wipe them. Or will they actually help absorb some of the excess wateryness?

I like glasses but I want to try something new because I'm tired of the lenses poping out or scratching.

Any suggestions of what would be the best types of contacts to wear? Or should I just stick to glasses?

I believe everyone gets a little teary eyed when they yawn a big yawn. I've cried with my contacts on and there were no problems at all. The contacts didn't pop out or anything.

I'm stuck with glasses now and they are an absolute nuisance when either you play sports or it rains. Yeah, getting contacts would be a good idea.

If you're of age and can afford it, I'd suggest getting lasik. I know someone who's gotten it and it worked very well. She doesn't wear contacts or glasses.

All you can do is talk to your doctor. No one here can tell you what is best for you. Different contacts are better for different people.

Contact lenses are a great option and have lots of advantages over eyeglasses. Today there are more fun and healthful contact lens options than ever. Your doctor can tell you if you are a candidate for contact lenses, and if so, help you to make the decision on what lens is best. Here is a guide to the basics of contacts lenses, it would be good to read before your doctor visit: http://www.allaboutvision.com/contacts/contact_lenses.htm
