New glasses tip?
Just got glasses yesterday and never realized how bad my vision was till I put them on. It's amazing!!! Anyway, will I have to worry about little spots getting irritated for a while or does that usually not happen?

Yes, they are called pressure points. If the frame is well adjusted this will go away after a short time. Id not, the frame needs to be adjusted on your face again.

New glasses take some time to adjust to , but if you don't pretty quickly, I would tell my opthamologist.
I have worn glasses since a very early age, I don't really even remember life without them. If I got lasic surgery, and didn't need them I'm afraid I would poke my eye all the time...lol

When you first start wearing glasses, they feel awkward because you're not used to wearing them. They should have adjusted them when you picked them up, but it takes a few days of wearing them before you can really get a feel for how they fit. If they are bothering you, just take them back in and tell the optician what kinds of problems you are having, where it hurts, where its too tight. We Opticians are really good at frames adjustments...all you have to do is bring them in to us.

I always compare a new pair of glasses to a new pair of shoes. You try them on, they feel great at first. Then you take them home and wear them all day and your nose hurts, your ears hurt, they are sliding down...kind of like how new shoes pinch your toes and slip on your heels. The difference is with glasses, they can made to fit comfortably; unlike with shoes, you need to either break them in, or limp...LOL
