Ok I dont even know where to start, it is extremely normal to blink, yes even alot, if you get glasses it wont help 'blinking', glasses help you see not stop blinking alot, seriously if you need to worry about something, do it with something that actually matters

Jennifer
We need to blink to keep our corneas moist. Those with dry eyes do tend to blink more just because of the reflex to help the dry eyes stay moist. This is something that glasses cannot fix, but using artificial tears might.

There is also a condition called blepharospasm...symptoms can be uncontrollable blinking or the eye can just shut and the eyelids need to be manually opened. This condition can only be treated by an ophthalmologist.

I'd try artificial tears first. If that doesn't help, then see your eye doctor for evaluation and treatments for dry eyes. If that doesn't help, then a referral to an oculoplastics surgeon would be in order for further evaluation of blepharospasm.

there could be several reasons as to why you are blinking so much. if your tear ducts aren't producing the way that they should then you will blink in order to help keep them from drying out. Also this is a symptom of Astigmatism(sp.) I would go to an optometrist just to be safe.

Try putting eye drops in your eyes or sleeping longer.

If you abuse amphetamines or take any stimulant in excess, you will experience twitching. I'm not saying you do, however. Did you have too much coffee or Red Bull? Otherwise, you may just be having either an anxiety attack or repressed anger. As for the glasses, I don't know. You should definitely see an opthamalogist.
