How do doctors know what makes us sick?
If giving an answer it must be at least 6 complete sentences long. Thanks!

This sounds like a homework question. I was going to answer it, but I'm not going to do your homework for you. I'm a teacher, by the way. And, I homeschooled my son who is now a top honor student. I did NOT give him the answers. If I did, he couldn't get the good grades he does.

I'll give you one clue though. They are kind of like a detective and kind of like an auto mechanic.

While they leave you half naked in a cold cold room, they go off into another secret room where they have a huge wheel on the wall.

They call in their Nurse.

The Doctor tells the nurse to blindfold them.
Then the Doctor has one of the Maintenance Men give the Wheel a Huge Spin. The Doctor then hurls a Dart toward the spinning wheel. The ailment the dart hits is what you have.

This is for homework isn't it. Doctors go to medical school where they learn about symptoms. When they see the patients, they check to see if they have alergies to see if that may be the cause of the sickness. If not then they ask the patient questions that could tell the doctor symptoms. The doctor then checks for visible and audio symptoms (stethascope looking in your ear nose and mouth). Once the Doctor is done, they try to see what sickness the symptoms match up to.
If it is what the thing that makes us sick that you are asking about it is this. Scientists studied organisms when they were sick. They found patterns and decided to put more research in to the subject. They then discovered that bacteria and diseases were the cause. They then found outh which bacteria carries which virus. They matched the Viruses to names and symptoms.

First off, they went to medical school and had to study all the functions and behaviors of the human body and its parts. So most definitely, they should know how most of the works are and how the body works properly. When you feel sick or something goes wrong, they're able to examine and try to seek out the source of illness.

Doctors have experience. That's how they know what makes us sick. They've had years and years of studying and examination experience. Scientists also work closely with doctors and research bacteria/diseases/viruses/etc... that they believe cause sickness. Trial and tests are how most facts in medicine come into existence.

Hope this helped! =)
