It starts out as a habit you were likely warned about. The sad thing is if you continue your knuckles will look horrible and then they have a tendency to hurt and again you crack them to relieve the pain- caused by the cracking you have done over the years. When you get older Uncle Arthur (arthritis) will visit you often.

I crack my knuckles. I can't stop doing it either...and I don't know why we even do it in the first place. I just know that it feels good. I heard it's bad for you though, because you can get arthritis in your fingers when you get older if you do it a lot.
