it's not a good idea to consume milk when you have a fever. Milk can cause further congestion and increase the fever. It's best to drink fruit juices or hot soup.
If you have any further questions please let me know.
People are not given milk when running a fever because it is said that the milk will curdle in the stomach from the fever. It is best to give water or juice instead of milk.
None I'm a nurse. I guess you can try something cold but Tylenol/ibuprofen, Motrin works best.
if you r that hot it may curdle in your stomach and you with vomit
There is no reason at all not to take milk if you have a simple fever, it will not affect the condition one way or the other. If however the illness is causing vomiting or diarrhoea it should be excluded.
In general however, since it is fluid, not solid that is lost in fever either isotonic or hypo-tonic clear fluids are probably best.

milk doesn't do much. When I have a fever I have a milk shake, now that makes me feel good.
none, but will cause you to vomit, it will sour on your stomach and it won't be pretty
It has no effect other than replacing the fluids that you lose when you have a high temp. If you can tolerate it, continue to drink it to help hydrate yourself.
