I had this morning what may have been a possible mild heart attack. Paramedics were called but they did not feel that is was neccessary for me to go to the hospital. They did however say I needed to go to my Dr. and get checked. Symptoms were a very strong pain in my chest, as if a balloon was filling up and about to burst, along with sweating and much light-headedness and pain in the right side of my mouth that felt like a toothache. I can not get into my Dr. for a couple of days. Is it safe to wait a few days? Suggestions needed, my family is freaking out. Since this morning the light-headedness lasted about another 3 hours or so, and now I am getting a very bad headache, dont know if it is related or not. If I were to take myself to the emergency room at this point wouldnt it be a waste of time? Better to just wait and see my Dr. in a couple of days?

I would go to the ER for sure. anything having to do with your heart is serious. if you wait too long then you might have another heart attack or something, especially since you still feel bad. i know if it were me i would have demanded that the paramedics take me to the hospital that morning. good luck |

It sounds like you are suffering from aorta valve stenosis. Please go to the emergency room, and tell them you might be having a heart attack, and you have heart problems. Please go see a cardogolist as soon as you can. Good luck. |

I agree with Yoda 'Mild heart attack' or not the heart will still be damaged and it may have3 been a warning. Please get emergency treatment now. |

I agree with Yoda. Those symptoms are not to be taken lightly. Blood tests will reveal if a heart attack took place and there maybe a blockage due to cardiovascular disease. Treat it as urgent, not many have that luxury of early warning. Good Luck, may all be ok. |

Hi there, Do yopu think you can answer these questions for me? What were you doing when you got the pain in your chest? How would you describe it eg, sharp, tightness, crushing, aching? Did it feel like an elephant was on your chest? did it go any where else eg down and arm up to the jaw? On a scale of 0 - 10 what would you give it with 10 being the worst pain ever? How long does the pain last for? Is there a history of heart problem in your family? When you got the pain were you sweaty?, did you have any nausea?, were you short of breath? if so did it feel like you were drowning? How old are you? Have you had this before? Can you pin point it? Does it get worse when you take in a deep breath? does it get worse when you lean forward? Now you have to be honest with these but ultimatley you should go to your doctor as soon as you can. These are the same question I would ask my patient as I'm also a paramedic |
