I suddenly had terrible pain in my chest and left side of my torso. It felt like a car was parked on my chest. I started sweating and the pain was intense for about 1 minute. I continued to feel "sore" in my chest for an hour. I am 28 5'11 210lbs. My dad had 3 minor heart attacks(that weren't immediately diagnosed) by age 58. Should I go to the hospital?

You should not be asking a community of lay-people for medical advice. Heart disease can effect people of all ages. (Read- it kills people of all ages) Your symptoms are concerning and you should go to a hospital. |

I haven't experienced it but have heard about "little" heart attacks, when sometimes the person doesn't even know it's happening. I would go get it checked out before something more severe happens, because you wouldn't want to take the chance that it was minor and have it cause a major heart attack later when you could prevent it now. My thoughts are with you, best wishes. |

You had a strong warning, if not an actual heart attack. Family history, especially father to son, is probably the number risk factor. So, either go to the hospital and get checked out, or call your insurance agent to up your life insurance so your wife won't be broke when you make her a widow. Chest pain is nothing to fool around with, or take polls on YA to see what people think. |
