Does febreze give you cancer?
my teacher said that some household such as febreze and other spraying chemicals give you cancer......because when its sprayed it stores up inside the cell or body fat and keeps store up as you keep using it......so 10 to 15 years later you have been diagnose with cancer......

yes, if you drink it or inhale it in large enough doses...there is an excepltable value to smell nice room freshners in parts per million....next time you spray a room .....leave before for you get a real snoot full.....the question is not will it kill me, but when will it kill me....and I say never if you don't over do it.

i havnt heard of this

bonnie
Ask her to prove whats she says about this

There is no evidence to back or debunk your statement.

Personally I try to avoid and minimize my ex poser to cleaning chemicals, pollution and food additives. I would personally avoid it as we don't know the long term effects of such thing on our bodies.

Having said that there is little point in being paranoid about it as it is impossible to avoid chemicals entirely.

Sooner or later they seem to find something about everything that gives you cancer. Years ago, I heard that touching nickels gives you cancer. Some people believe deodorant gives you cancer. I don't think I'd worry.

pretty much everything gives you cancer or some other kind of disease.. so i've heard

No. There is no scientific documented evidence to support this claim. Ask your teacher to provide a legitimate study linking this product to cancer. It's an Internet myth.

The misinformation that your teacher is giving you is actually an Urban Legend associated with the product being harmful to household pets. It's from an email hoax. Show her the following website:

http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/blfebrez.htm

"Jan. 11, 2002 toxicology bulletin from the ASPCA: "Contrary to rumors being spread over the Internet, The ASPCA knows of no substantiated evidence that the use of Febreze has caused the death of any dogs or cats."
