Sometimes when sitting down for a long period of time at work or on the computer at home, our back gets very tight. We can do numerous things to loosen it up including stretches and cracking.
Steps
- Sit down in a chair.
- Twist your trunk to the left or right while keeping your legs straight ahead.
- Keep twisting to that side until you have gone as far as you can easily do. Use an armrest or the back of the chair if you need extra leverage, but do not twist so far that it becomes painful.
- Twist in the same motion to the opposite direction
- Repeat this process a few times and usually your back will crack if it needs to.
Tips
- Some people find that they can more easily crack their backs while standing or lying down.
Warnings
- Do not try more than twice a day. Keep the time in between more than 3 hours.
- This can also possibly give you problems with the back when you get older.
